Shipments from Sophie Allport Ltd have increased substantially following their relocation to their new warehouse in Bourne, Lincolnshire.
Sophie Allport Ltd began trading in 2007 from a bedroom in Battersea before moving to one industrial unit in Langtoft (via a garage). Since their move to Langtoft 7 years ago the company took on a further 7 units nearby to meet the increasing demand for their products.
Jem Allport, Director of Sophie Allport commented “Operating from so many units caused some logistical challenges and we realised that to drive the business forward we needed to bring our business under one roof. We have been searching for the right property for the past few years, but lack of suitable properties made this quest particularly difficult. Following a recommendation from a friend, we contacted Jonathan Hand at Talkspace to see if they could help.
Talkspace had identified the property in Bourne and encouraged us to look at it and we quickly realised that this was the building for us. Given the lack of availability, there was significant interest in the building. Talkspace talked us through the purchasing process and helped us submit a successful bid. Without their help I am convinced we would not have secured the property”.
The new warehouse is enabling the business to expand and the company have already taken on 20 new staff (an increase of 50%), with more to follow. Already they have managed to increase despatch rates by nearly 100%.
Jonathan Hand Managing Director of Talkspace added “Property plays a pivotal part in a company’s success, but many struggle to find suitable premises inhibiting their ability to expand. It is great to see a business being able to fulfil its potential and with plenty of room for expansion, Sophie Allport Ltd will continue to prosper in to the future. To be a part of that success is fantastic”.
